Lows will be around 15 degrees this morning and between 10 to 15 degrees Saturday night. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana, and central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest, south central, southeast, southwest, and west central Mississippi. * WHEN...For the Extreme Cold Warning, until 6 PM CST this evening. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to noon CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. Very cold wind chills and temperatures can lead to frostbite and hypothermia, especially with prolonged exposure and if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures and wind chills. Extensive power outages and snow and ice cover persist from previous ice storm. This dangerous cold will only exacerbate the impacts felt in those affected areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong gusty winds of 30 to 40 mph will result in even lower wind chills at times this morning through today.
