Headline: Special Weather Statement issued December 5 at 7:40PM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA
Description: Temperatures across the area will remain at or below freezing
through the overnight period, and into mid morning Saturday,
leading to a refreeze of melted snow on roads, especially
untreated ones, as well as bridges, parking lots and sidewalks.
Patchy fog is also possible overnight.

Be aware of slick road conditions and potential for reduced
visibilities. Slow down, and use caution when traveling. Leave
plenty of room between cars.

Headline: Special Weather Statement issued December 5 at 5:56PM EST by NWS Wakefield VA
Description: Areas of fog have developed across portions of eastern Virginia,
south central Virginia, and interior northeast North Carolina this
evening. Visibility will generally be as low as one half to one
mile, but fog may be locally dense with visibility reduced to one
quarter mile or less at times.

Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to
the fog. Drive at reduced speeds and use low beam headlights
only.
